If you receive emails on your phone but not in the Outlook client on your PC, or vice versa, there could be several causes.
This article gives you the most likely problems and solutions.
Make sure the IMAP settings are set correctly in Outlook. Incorrect server settings can cause emails not to sync. Compare the settings in Outlook with those on your phone to make sure they are correct. Next article provides more information about the server settings required for email via Kinamo.
In the latest version of Outlook , some IMAP features may be limited. Therefore, in case of problems, it may be better to temporarily switch back to the classic Outlook version:
Go to File → Info and see if the "Revert to Outlook Classic" option is available.
Does this not work or do you not have Classic Outlook on your computer? Then you can download it here.
If you have email set up on your phone via POP3, the phone may be downloading and deleting emails from the server. In both Outlook on your PC and mobile devices, make sure your mail program is set to IMAP.
Check if the emails are still visible in the Kinamo webmail. If the emails are also missing there, another client (program) may have deleted the messages from the server.
Sometimes it helps to delete and re-add the email account in Outlook:
Go to File → Account Settings → Delete Account and re-add the account with the correct IMAP settings.
This article provides more information on how to add your email account back to Outlook
Check that Outlook is not accidentally in offline mode:
Go to the Send/Receive tab and see if "Working Offline" is activated.
Press F9 to manually sync all folders.
Some security software can block IMAP connections. Temporarily turn off your antivirus or firewall and check if the emails are coming in.
If none of the above solutions work, a damaged Outlook profile may be the cause.
Create a new profile via Control Panel → Mail (Outlook) → Manage profiles.
