Setting up your Kinamo email address in Outlook is easy, as long as you follow the right steps. With this guide, we'll walk you through the process step by step. You will learn how to add your account, set up the server settings correctly and ensure that your emails are sent and received without any problems.

Step 1: Start Outlook

  1. Open Outlook on your computer.
  2. Click File in the upper left corner.
  3. Select Add Account

Step 2: Enter your email address

  1. Enter your full Kinamo email address (for example: uwnaam@domein.be).
  2. Click Advanced Options and check I want to set up my account manually.
  3. Click Connect.

Step 3: Choose IMAP

  1. Select IMAP as the account type.
  2. Enter your password when prompted and click Connect.
  3. You will now see a notification that your account has been successfully added.
  4. Before clicking "Done," uncheck the "Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone" option.

Step 4: Adjust the server settings

  1. Go to File > Account Settings > Server Settings.
  2. Enter the following settings for incoming e-mail (IMAP):
    - Server address: in.kinamo.be
    - Port: 993
    - Encryption method: Select SSL/TLS from the drop-down menu.
  3. Enter the following settings for outgoing e-mail (SMTP):
    - Server address: out.kinamo.be
    - Port: 587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (SSL/TLS).
    - Encryption method: Also choose SSL/TLS from the drop-down menu.
  4. Make sure My outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication is checked.
  5. Select the Use the same settings as my incoming email server option.
  6. Click Next to complete this step.

Step 5: Test your email account

  1. Send a test email from your new account to another email address.
  2. Also send a test email to your new account.
  3. Verify that the emails are sent and received successfully.
