No buzzwords, just common sense
Sustainability is a topic that companies talk about a lot these days. It often sounds complex, abstract, or expensive. At Kinamo, we see it differently. For us, sustainable business starts with common sense.
As a hosting and infrastructure partner, we operate in an industry with a significant energy footprint. That means every decision regarding energy consumption is immediately relevant—both ecologically and economically. By managing our infrastructure thoughtfully and opting for efficient solutions, we not only minimize our impact but also keep our services top-notch and affordable.
We apply that same logic more broadly, taking a critical look at how and why we do things:
Although we don’t use complex CSR structures, we naturally work according to clear processes and quality standards. Here, too, we’re constantly looking for ways to work more efficiently and mindfully.
For us, sustainability is also about people. By listening to our team and creating space for focus and autonomy, we’re building an organization that works for everyone in the long term. We also do this by sponsoringinitiatives like TEDx Flanders, where ideas about innovation, social progress, and the future take center stage.
We recently discussed this with DNS Belgium. In that interview, CEO Dominique Quintelier further explains our vision and approach, with concrete examples from our day-to-day operations. Read the full interview on the DNS Belgium website.
The conversation also got us thinking. Although our choices today are already strongly guided by impact and common sense, we want to make our approach even more concrete. We’re working on further clarifying our goals and will soon share an update on all of Kinamo’s initiatives related to sustainable business practices.
We still believe the same thing: you don’t have to be a large company or have a big budget to do business sustainably. But by making your choices clear and consciously adjusting your course, you can achieve more impact step by step.
Looking for an IT partner that takes a mindful approach to infrastructure and impact? We’d love to brainstorm with you.
