For the Hannover Messe 2023 exhibition, we created a mixed reality application to show visitors Siemens Simcenter Amesim's battery development capabilities.

On the Siemens stand was the real Ecurie Aix Electric racing car. When visitors looked at the racing car through the Oculus Quest 2 headset, they could see its CAD model on the top of the car. From wild concept to concrete application

Kinamo imagined the concept and developed the application in just a few weeks.
We took the MRTK community component set, originally developed for the Microsoft Hololens, and deployed it for the Oculus Quest 2. Through a combination of custom programming and Passthrough, we are able to create a link between the race car physically present on the stand and a VR layer on top of what visitors see in real time.

We chose to work with the Oculus Quest 2 to create a marketing tool that can be used easily and at very limited cost (compared to other headsets) by other Siemens marketing teams.
