Our latest achievement, a mixed reality application developed for Simcenter Siemens, exemplifies this approach by immersing users in the world of the digital twin. Through the application, users were immersed in the world of the digital twin, experiencing firsthand how it works. We demonstrated that businesses can achieve faster time-to-market and deliver better products by using the integrated Siemens software solutions for design, engineering and manufacturing.
A Transformative Mixed Reality Experience
Using the Oculus Quest 3 headset, visitors at the booth explored a fully interactive mixed reality environment where a virtual car was layered over a physical car present on-site. The experience allowed them to virtually remove the rim of the car and delve into how Siemens software optimizes different aspects of product development.
We used an optimized rim as an example to tell the story, illustrating how achieving the right balance between durability, aerodynamics, manufacturability, design, and vibroacoustics is essential to meeting all performance requirements. Visitors could interact with rims optimized for individual criteria and gain insights into the importance of balancing priorities for specific use cases.
Siemens customers use Simcenter’s powerful simulation software to create digital twins that behave as the real-world product would, enabling fine-tuning to meet precise requirements, reducing environmental impact, and speeding up time-to-market.
Showcased at leading industry events
Our mixed reality application was showcased at two of the world’s most prominent technology trade shows: Hannover Messe and SPS Nuremberg.
Hannover Messe is one of the largest industrial technology trade fairs globally, featuring innovations in areas like automation, energy, and digital ecosystems.
SPS Nuremberg focuses on smart production solutions, drawing professionals eager to explore the latest advancements in automation and digital transformation.
At SPS alone, the exhibition attracted 40,000 visitors, many of whom engaged with the Kinamo-developed application. Together with the Simcenter team, we demonstrated how Siemens software solutions transform product development.
