How can I transfer a .com or other .tld domain name?

domain names transfer

If you want to move a domain name with extension .com, .net or .org (or others) from your current hosting company to Kinamo, you will need to make two request:

  • Ask to remove the transfer lock of the domain name, this allows us to request a move of the domain name;
  • Ask for the authorization code or token. This code allows us to request the move;

Without these two things, moving a domain name (with e.g. tld .com, .net or .org) is not possible!

Keep keep in mind that after entering the auth code or token an e-mail will be sent to the "owner", so make sure that the e-mail address belonging to domain name with your current agent is actually active.

If this e-mail address is not active and you have it changed with your current agent, the domain name will go into a transfer lock mode (e.g. for .com domain names) and you cannot move the domain name for 60 days transfer anymore. This is because of an ICANN security measure that does not allow you to quickly change an e-mail address and then move a domain name.
