Kinamo, in a nutshell

Kinamo specializes in two areas: on the one hand as a Managed Services Provider and provider of hosting solutions, and on the other hand as a professional partner for development of web projects, APIs and custom sites.
Customers can turn to us for a full service approach in terms of cloud hosting, development services and full DevOps integration.

The assignment

The objective of the website is twofold: it needs to attract new leads for our customized services such as managed services, cloud services and DevOps capabilities and it also needs to provide a more user-friendly and efficient "self-service" shop for more common Internet services such as domain name registration, SSL certificate ordering, Kinamo Nextcloud hosting, Wordpress hosting and general web hosting.

A challenge

The development of the new website was a fun challenge where we used our expertise in web design, user experience and technology to create for ourselves a modern, attractive and well-functioning website.

The process began with a thorough analysis of the existing website in which we identified strengths and carefully examined areas that needed improvement. We then defined the goals, target audiences and desired functionalities for the new website.

Craft CMS was deliberately chosen for the development of our website. The choice of this CMS was obvious given the demand for easy management combined with technical challenges and integrations with existing backend systems.
The Craft content management system uses the Yii framework and provides a technically high quality codebase. An additional advantage of working with a standardized framework such as Yii allows us to easily provide extensions to the CMS so that our own backend can also be seamlessly linked to the website.
The integration of an extensive knowledge base, direct link with our support processes, extensive two-factor authentication make the website a nice exemple of an integrated asset.

• SSL certificate wizard: using a few simple questions, you immediately know which SSL certificate is suitable for your application.
• Real-time domain name integration: immediately check the availability of a domain name.
• Comprehensive authentication with 2FA: a customized, secure multi-factor authentication system for single sign-on on both the corporate website, My Kinamo customer area and other services.
• Extensive support section with answers to the most frequently asked questions and tips as well as easy administration by Kinamo employees.

A successful outcome

Since the launch of the new website, we have experienced a strong growth in the number of orders on the website and a noticeable increase in the quality of contact requests.
