This certificate's little brother, Symantec's Secure Site with EV, is an expensive certificate that's well worth its price in our eyes. We cannot condone Symantec's shameless practice of almost doubling that certificate price just to add Server Gated Cryptography, a technology that's meant to boost stone-age browsers' encryption strength. Honestly, browsers that don't encrypt at 128 bits minimum out of the box are so dated they contain as much holes as a Swiss cheese. In our opinion, the only good reason to buy the Secure Site Pro with EV is that you'll be able to boast having bought the most expensive you can get. It works for smartphone manufacturers, why shouldn't it for Symantec?
