SMTP

Customers who have access to a Kinamo shared web hosting, business e-mail or SecureMail Gateway hosting service can use our outgoing mailserver (smtp). This service is only for customers who have an e-mail address on the Kinamo mailserver, or who use the Kinamo mailservers to route their e-mail traffic for anti-spam and anti-virus protection.

The outgoing mailserver is only available through authentication, in order to avoid its use for sending unsolicited e-mail. This means you will need a valid e-mail address and password in order to access the server. The Kinamo outgoing server uses SSL for a secure connection.

SMTP Settings

Standard settings are:

The outgoing mailserver (SMTP): out.kinamo.be

Port: 587
Connection: SSL
Authentication: Password (normal, clear text)
Username: Your e-mail address
Password: The password for your e-mail address

Please note that the standard SMTP port, TCP port 25, isn't used. Most Internet Access Providers block traffic on this port, and require you to use their own outgoing mail servers.
By using port 587, you'll be able to reach the Kinamo SMTP server for more secure sending of your e-mails.
